National Honesty Day

Accept the challenge to be truthful on #NationalHonestyDay

30 April is National Honesty Day, a day challenging each and every one to accept the challenge to be truthful in everything they do.

We all know the different kinds of lies. We’ve spared someone’s feelings or bent the truth just a little or, maybe, even told a big fat whopper of a lie. Unless we walk on water or are angels, we have all told a lie or two during our lifetime.

A former press secretary to a Maryland governor and the author of The Book of Lies, M Hirsh Goldberg, created National Honesty Day in the early 1990s. He chose the last day of April for this celebration in contrast to the foolishness the first day of the month brings.

National Honesty Day is often a campaign against some of the most deceitful lies in history. This day also urges politicians to tell the truth.

Celebrate today by answering questions truthfully all day long.
