Don’t go for seconds

Stay on course for that summer beach body

Whether you’re on a diet for health reasons or just planning to fit into that bikini or Speedo you bought last summer, diets are important. However, during holidays such as Easter or Christmas, it may be hard to resist the temptation to nibble on that marshmallow egg.

Some tips to survive this weekend suggest you switch the focus away from chocolate. Instead of eating a chocolate-covered marshmallow when wanting for a snack, grab a banana, a pear or an apple. That is a healthier alternative and you won’t feel guilty after the weekend.

Another tip is to distract yourself whenever the temptation is too strong. Going out for a walk, playing a sport or games, visiting an attraction or decorating are ways to make sure one treat does not turn into two or three … or ten. Eat but don’t go overboard is another way to make sure you stay on course for that beach body come the end of the year. Limiting your portions is a great way to eat your favourite dishes during dinner time and not torture yourself. Come Tuesday you can get back on track with a little extra exercise and keeping an eye on those calories.
