Service centres closed during Easter

Customers to use alternative methods to pay accounts

Customers wishing to pay their accounts during the Easter weekend are advised to take alternative measures as the customer service centres will be closed.

“All our customer service centres across the City will be closed for the Easter weekend, including on Saturday, 15 April. We wish our customers a happy Easter weekend. Services at our customer service centres will resume as normal on Tuesday, 18 April,” said the City of Johannesburg’s spokesperson, Kgamanyane Maphologela.

During the public holidays, customers are advised to pay their accounts using the following methods:

• With EasyPay, facilitating a quick payment option at many shops that you visit on a regular basis, including Pick n Pay and Shoprite Checkers

• Debit orders

• Direct deposits at major banks

• ATMs

• Internet and cellphone banking

• SA Post Office

Kgamanyane reminded customers that, even if they did not receive an account, they still need to pay. “If you haven’t received an account you can either pay the same amount as the previous month or phone Joburg Connect on 0860 562 874 to enquire how much you owe,” he said. He added that customers can also register their details on the city’s website (www.joburg.org.za) to receive their accounts by email every month.

Customers who ensure their accounts are paid timeously will be able to enjoy the public holidays without worrying about their outstanding debt. For any queries during this period, calls can be logged by phoning 0860 562 874.
