Ashlee’s Dance Company dancers are crossing their fingers to qualify to represent the country in an international dance competition.
Brooklyn McGregor, Tyla Kim Margison, Olivia Nowakowitsch, Suane Meising, Jeanique Dante Fourie and Kayla Rachstein, recently received their Gauteng colours for performing arts.
Their dance teacher, Ashlee Herbst said, “These girls only started dancing in August last year and qualified for acrobatics and contemporary dance in the Gauteng team.
“The 8 April is the nationals prize-giving. If these girls get first [position] which is 80 per cent and more, they qualify to represent South Africa and dance in New York in the competition Talent America.”
