Calls to ban trucks and other heavy motor vehicles from using William Nicol Drive have become louder.
This comes after yet another truck-driver lost control of his vehicle at the William Nicol Drive and Ellis Street intersection in Constantia Kloof, on Friday, 7 April.
The road heading towards 14th Avenue was blocked, causing traffic to back up. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported. The truck was travelling from Ontdekkers Road towards the traffic lights at the intersection when its driver lost control. It crashed into two vehicles and jack-knifed before coming to a standstill.
