Locals encouraged to be part of the anti-Zuma protest

WELTEVREDEN PARK – Local residents continue to mobilize for #FreedomFriday.

Local resident Helen Mc Donald has announced that a #FreedomFriday  protest will also be taking place on Hendrik Potgieter Road tomorrow (7 April).

Mc Donald said, “We will be joining together in a peaceful non-political picket to show our support for the rest of South Africa demanding that Zuma must fall.”

She said the protest will commence from 4pm to 6pm on the corner of Hendrik Potgieter Road and Albert Street.

She also encouraged all those who will be participating to bring their placards.

“Bring your banners, posters, and flags, dress in South African colours and join in in saving the country. We can gather in clusters of 15 people every 200 meters which is legal and in line with Hendrik Potgieter Road,” she explained, adding that parking will be available at Hillfox or Town square shopping centres.
