An alleged business robbery took place at Spar Tops at Palm Court on 22 March at about 4.30am.
After the store’s alarm was activated, Beagle Watch security officers arrived on the scene and noticed three men attempting to flee the scene in a vehicle.
They gave chase and the suspects were finally caught at the Checkers Hyperama parking lot in Constantia Kloof.
The spokesperson for Honeydew Police Station, Captain Balan Muthan, confirmed that the incident took place and that the incident was still under investigation.
Honeydew Community Policing Forum public relations officer, Jon Rosenberg said, “Congratulations to Beagle Watch, and thanks to the police for responding so quickly to the scene where we were waiting for them. This is a big one for our fight against crime in our area.”
