Another clinic gets a facelift

This is a two-and-a-half month project which also has a job creation perspective

The second clinic to face a minor refurbishment is Helderkruin Clinic.

The R3m upgrade of the clinic is part of Mayor Herman Mashaba’s campaign to ensure that residents receive the best possible medical care.

According to DA councillor Carl Mann, the upgrade and refurbishment of the various clinics is long overdue. “Although it is not a huge project, it will bring some much needed relief,” he said.

The small building will be used as a storage facility while the bigger building on the same premises will be equipped with 10 consulting rooms, three different waiting rooms and three counselling rooms.

“This is a two-and-a-half month project which also has a job creation perspective since local labourers will be employed. The clinic’s operating hours will remain the same, from 7:30am to 4pm,” Mann explained.

The project will commence on Monday, 13 March.
