On 8 April the local Vespa club, the Chicken Runners, will once again drive off into the sunset for their annual tour.
This year will see them taking the route around Lesotho. Their sleepovers will be at Sterkfontein, Midmar Dam, Kokstad, Maclear, Aliwal North, Ladybrand, Reitz and then home on 16 April. This will take the riders through four provinces hence the name of the tour – the Four Provinces Tour.
This year’s beneficiary of the tour was Laerskool Claremont for which the club collected a substantial amount of money in order to buy uniforms for the less fortunate learners.
