11-year-old Nqobile needs your help

“I would like to ask the community to sponsor my daughter’s forthcoming modelling competition.”

Nqobile Mayisela’s mother, Nomsa, is asking for monetary sponsorship so that her daughter can participate in the International Model and Talent Association (IMTA) modelling competition which will be taking place from 11 to 14 April 2017 at the Roodepoort Theatre. They need to raise R12 700 as fast as possible.

After two months of attending a modelling course at Figures Modelling Agency (FMA), Nqobile came out tops at her first ever national level modelling competition.

Nomsa Mayisela, Nqobile’s mother commented on challenges encountered as a pageant Mom:

The challenges that I have encountered as a pageant parent is that I’m struggling to raise the funds that is normally required for the competitions because I really don’t earn much at my work place. I’m a single mom with a disability and I would like to assist Nqobile to pursue her dreams in the modelling industry. She has a great potential of making a living out of modelling.

Nqobile was born and raised in Dobsonville, Soweto. She’s a Grade 4 learner at Florida Primary. Her hobbies include modelling, watching America’s Next Top Model, cooking, taking part in sport at school and designing women’s clothing. She’s also fond of animals and would like to do voluntary work at the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. If she doesn’t become a model, she’d like to consider becoming a lawyer or a child psychologist.

Anyone willing to help us with sponsorship can contact me on 079 694 0465 or call Theresa (Nqobile’s coach at FMA) on 083 263 2468.
