The month of love is not only for humans

Win with Roodepoort SPCA's fun competition

With February being the month of love, everyone will expressing their affection towards that special person with flowers, chocolates and other treats.

But, this year, the people at the Roodepoort SPCA want to remind you that this month is not only for humans, but for animals too. They will be running a photography competition which aims to collect much-needed money for the animals in need.

Nicole Manners, the fundraiser at the SPCA said, “We would like to appeal to the members of the Roodepoort community to please show their love for the animals that are being cared for at the Roodepoort SPCA.”

The theme of the fun competition is I Love My Pet and entries cost R70 each. There is no limit on the number of entries per person, and winners will receive some lovely prize hampers.

Some things to consider when entering this competition are:

– No photos of exotic pets will be accepted.

– Entries featuring pets dressed up or wearing clothes will not be allowed

– Your pet does not have to be adopted from the SPCA to be eligible for entry.

The entry forms are available from Nicole on fundraiser@rdptspca.co.za and all you need to do to enter, is complete the form, attach your photo/s along with proof of payment and send it back to Nicole. The closing date for entries is 28 February.

“Please support the Roodepoort SPCA by entering your favourite photos of you and your fur-babies and share the love!” Nicole concluded.
