Suspects strike again after first attempt fails

Residents in the Roodekrans area must be vigilant and on the lookout for a brazen gang that struck twice this past Sunday (29 January).

At about 2.48pm five men in a silver Mercedes-Benz CLA stopped at a house on Wildevy Avenue. They broke open the gate but they fled when the neighbour alerted the security company response unit.

Minutes later, at 3.10pm, they struck at a house on Frangipani Avenue, 1,2km from their first target. The homeowner mistook them for guests and let them in. When the resident started screaming they fled with the house keys.

Anyone who spots them should not confront them, but contact either their neighbourhood watch, CPF or local police station.

It is uncertain if these suspects are linked to the infamous Mercedes gang that terrorised residents last year.
