Man dies in car at Pick n Pay
Helicopter circled the area for an hour.
A circling helicopter had residents of the Roodekrans/ Wilro Park /Helderkruin areas curious late yesterday afternoon (26 January).
The helicopter was circling above the area for almost an hour. At first it was speculated that it was a police helicopter but later it was established that it was a vehicle tracking company helicopter. It later transpired that a foreign national died in his rented car in the Pick n Pay parking lot on CR Swart Road. While bystanders tried to get into the car they set off the alarm. The tracking company thought the vehicle was stolen and started looking for it.
The cause of the man’s death is unknown, but it is believed he suffered a heart attack.
