Panorama Residents Association to beef up security

PANORAMA – Cameras to be installed during the course of the year in Panorama

The Panorama Residents Association, chaired by Jon Rosenberg, has agreed upon installing ‘smart’ surveillance cameras in the area.

Rosenberg confirmed that the association would erect cameras during the course of the year as a further measure to beef up security.

However, fibre optic cables are yet to be laid in the area and the association wants to accumulate enough money to erect high-quality infrared cameras capable of both day and night vision.

He added that the cameras should be capable of clearly capturing the face of the driver of a vehicle and the registration number plate.

In achieving this goal, Rosenberg said certain sections would be prioritised.

“At this stage we will prioritise the sections of our residents association that have the most members, as in fairness, they are contributing the most fees. We can erect all the planned cameras and keep the fees low if we can just increase our membership,” Rosenberg said.
