Brothers attacked with wooden stick, panga and knife
Prompt action of Police leads to arrests.
Two brothers sleeping inside their shop in Sol Plaatjies were attacked during a robbery last Friday (21 January).
The incident took place at about 3am. The brothers heard a loud crash as the four suspects, aged between 20 and 35, entered the little shop. The men then attacked them with a wooden stick, a knife and a panga. They then ordered them to lie down and keep quiet after which they robbed them of cash, airtime, four cellphones, blankets, clothing and groceries. They fled the crime scene in a white Polo VW. The police were called, and due to their quick response time, were able to arrest the suspects and recover the stolen goods.
The Roodepoort police’s station commander, Brigadier Manala, lauded the the good work that was done by Constables Mokgope and Mphuma.
