Bakkie carrying labourers rolls

Cause still uncertain.

Yesterday at about 4pm a bakkie, towing a trailer, with five labourers on the back rolled down an embankment on Ouklip Road.

It is uncertain what led to the accident but bystanders speculated that the driver had lost control near the intersection with Wilgerood Road and hit the curb, which caused the bakkie to roll down the embankment. No other vehicles were involved in the accident. The driver, his passenger and the five labourers on the back miraculously only sustained minor to moderate injuries. One man broke his ankle.

ER24 took the patients to nearby hospitals.
