According to Naomi Alberts, owner of the Dazzling Doggy Spa, it feels as if Nala has just disappeared from the face of the earth.

“We have been searching for her non-stop since she went missing, and – save for the one sighting of her in Kloofendal – there is just no sign of her,” she said.

On 31 December, a group of community members came together in the area between Helderkruin and Little Falls to search for Nala. They even used a drone to try to spot her from the air, as the area is very lush. The search was not very successful and Nala was not seen.

On 1 January, a group of dog rescuers undertook another search operation, but it was also unsuccessful.

Naomi said she is at her wits’ end, and does not know what else to do. “We have put up posters, phoned the SPCAs and animal shelters on a regular basis and are still searching non-stop. We, along with Nala’s owners, are desperate to find her,” she said.

She wanted to remind community members that they are offering a reward of R3 000 for Nala’s safe return and urged anyone with information to contact her on 079 909 3939 or Tania Aube (Nala’s owner) on 073 779 1296.
