King’s School West Rand principal chuffed by 100 per cent pass rate

Teachers at King’s School West Rand are already giving themselves a pat on the back after pushing the class of 2016 matriculants hard to obtain a 100 per cent pass rate.
The outstanding results were followed by a 100 per cent university enrolment for 2017.
An overwhelmed Ken Langley, the school’s principal, commended the teachers for the joyful outcome. “I am so excited to see our matric results; our students really nailed it this year to achieve beyond their expectations. Their hard work and the faithful work of preparation from our teachers is commendable,” said Langley.
The school obtained a 93 per cent bachelor’s degree and seven per cent diploma passes, with three top pupils achieving six distinctions.

Unpacking the percentages, the school received 69 distinctions with eight distinctions in maths literacy, seven distinctions in maths core and five distinctions in physical science, seven distinctions in Afrikaans, four distinctions in English and four distinctions in business studies.
