Trinityhouse first matrics score 100 per cent pass rate

LITTLE FALLS - The first matric class of Trinityhouse High Little Falls got 23 distinctions and a 100 per cent pass rate.

The first Grade 12 class at Trinityhouse High Little Falls, 27 learners strong, achieved a 100 per cent pass rate and 23 distinctions in the Independent Examination Board’s final exams.

All of the learners are eligible to study towards a tertiary qualification. This is, according to Principal Lynne Davis, a great achievement and a ‘fantastic start for the school.’

Amber Sleem proved to be the top of her class, ending her high school career with four distinctions.

Sleen wants to study towards a Bachelor of Arts at the University of the Witwatersrand. “I want to pursue passion in English and History and hope to become a High School Teacher.”

Davis said the first group’s results reflect their hard work and their dedication. She said these learners all joined from a variety of schools when the high school opened and that their marks had improved significantly.

“We feel an enormous sense of accomplishment and wish [the matriculants] well for their futures.”

Five learners completed the IEB exmas with 2 distinctions each and eight got one distinction each.
