A woman, believed to be in her 40s, was killed on the afternoon of 14 December when she was hit by a light motor vehicle.
The accident happened at the intersection of Ontdekkers and Mouton Roads in Horison. According to Russel Meiring, spokesperson for ER24, their paramedics found the vehicle parked on the middleman.
“The front of the vehicle was damaged substantially,” Meiring said.
They found the body of a woman lying in the left lane of the busy road. The paramedics assessed her and found she had already succumbed to her numerous fatal injuries. She was declared dead on the scene.
The driver of the motor vehicle was also assessed, but did not sustain any injuries.
The cause of the incident is unknown but local authorities will be investigating the matter.
