Two more armed robberies took place in the Helderkruin/ Roodekrans area following two by allegedly the same gang earlier yesterday (5 December).
At about 10pm five armed robbers entered a house on Blende Avenue through an open sliding door. They tied up the adults and two of the kids, but forced another child, a little girl, at gunpoint to show them where the safe was. They told her they would kill her if she did not comply. After about fifty minutes they fled with iPhones, electric appliances, TVs and the owner’s Toyota Hilux. DMS Security, ADT, the neighbourhood watch and police searched for the suspect but to no avail.
Earlier the day a woman also fell prey to an armed robbery on Zebrina Avenue, Helderkruin. She was stabbed and rushed to hospital. It is unclear what was stolen from her.
