The popular Helderkruin Veterinary Clinic fell prey to an armed robbery yesterday afternoon (29 November).
According to receptionist Nadine de Kock she just arrived at work at about 1pm to take over from her colleague when the incident took place. Three men entered the clinic and at gunpoint demanded valuables from them. De Kock managed to press the panic button but the three men got away with her handbag, the two women’s cellphones and an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register. Fortunately there were no clients in the clinic at the time of the robbery.
Apcan Security rushed to their assistance and later handed over the scene to Roodepoort Police.
