Illegal signage up overnight

HONEYDEW – What is believed to be illegal signage will be investigated by Metro police.

Ward 97 councillor, Leah Knott has made the Roodepoort Northsider aware of what she believes to be illegal signage on the corner of Braam Street and Beyers Naudé Drive that was put up over the weekend of 11 November.
She said that she believes it is illegal as the street name on the sign is not correct. She added that she has made Metro police aware of the issue. Spokesperson of Metro police, Superintendent Edna Mamonyane thanked Roodepoort Northsider for making her aware of the issue.
According to her, if the signage is illegal, they will have to contact the owners and use bylaw enforcement to take it down.
