Kingfisher do their bit for the animals

Sarac is this term's beneficiary.

Kingfisher Learning Centre, a small English primary school in Horison, recently made a donation to Soweto Animal Rescue Advisory Centre (Sarac).

Every school term they choose a charity to support. For the fourth term they selected Sarac. Jerry Selwane from the organisation spent a morning in October with the school, teaching the learners about animal behaviour and how to look after their pets. He also told them about the work Sarac does.

“The children were very excited and there was no end to their generosity. As we are a small school with only 45 learners this was really something to be proud of,” said principal Daleen Swart.
