Have you seen Ollie?

JOHANNESBURG – Please help a resident find her missing cat. Read the details here:

Oliver, a long-haired ginger cat, micro-chipped and neutered, went missing from Northcliff Drive on 4 October and his owner, Melissa Huneberg, is appealing to the community to help find him.
Ollie, as he is known, first went missing at the end September and was later found by Allyson Douglas in Weltevreden Park, where he stayed for a couple of days.
Douglas posted on Facebook that she had found Ollie and soon Huneberg made contact. After initially not responding to his owner’s call, Ollie was caught on 2 October, showing signs of aggression.
A few days later, on 4 October, Ollie escaped, this time from Greenside, once again.

Ollie’s owner suspects he might have joined a feral colony. She was contacted by an animal psychic who requested photos of Ollie. Huneberg said the psychic saw Ollie surrounded by other cats in an area with buildings and shrubs and he had joined a feral colony.
“This may or may not be true but it could be a good possibility because our Facebook appeals for sightings are not proving successful. Feral feeders are not eager to name where their feral colonies are, for fear of the colony being removed by authorities, but we would appreciate it if the feral feeders could keep an eye out to see if a ginger male has joined their colony looking for food,” Huneberg said.
Now, both Huneberg and Douglas are searching for Ollie, posting regularly on Facebook, but to no avail.
“We found Ollie when he was about three weeks old, we had to bottle feed him. Our other special kitty, Alfie, took great care of him and always protected him. Ollie is such a gentle soul and just so lovable. I miss him so much. He has such a special place in my heart,” Ollie’s owner said.
