Fuel prices to go down

Good news for holidaymakers.

According to the Automobile Association (AA) fuel prices will be decreasing for the festive season.

Based on data from the Central Energy Fund (CEF) motorists can expect a 45 cents decrease in the price of petrol, a 38 cents decrease in diesel prices and illuminating paraffin will go down by 40 cents. The decrease is due to an international decrease in petroleum prices as well as the firming of the rand/ dollar exchange rate.

The petrol price saw an increase of 45 cents a litre in November.
