A man sustained serious injuries when he was struck by a bakkie on the R41 in Cresswell Park. The accident happened this afternoon (10 November).
Reports from the scene indicate that the man was run over when he tried to cross the road.
Netcare 911 paramedics managed to stabilise the seriously injured man on scene before transporting him to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
The exact details as to the cause of the accident will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
