Twenty arrested for possession of drugs and dagga
Police sending clear message this festive season.
Florida Police and members of K9 Unit arrested 20 suspects for possession of either drugs or dagga.
Three of the arrests made from 20 to 27 October were on Hull Street, two on Goldman Street, two on 3rd Avenue, two at the corner of Ontdekkers Road and 10th Street in Delarey, and one each on Christiaan de Wet Road, Sauer Street, corner of Blinkwater Street and 11th Avenue, Lockies Street, Dan Street, 6th Avenue, 4th Avenue, 4th Street and 3rd Street.
One of those arrested suspects is a 19-year-old woman found in possession of dagga on Goldman Street.
The suspects are aged between 18 and 43.
“The Florida Police wish to send a very strong warning to those people either dealing in or found in possession of drugs that the police will leave no stone unturned to make drug-related arrests during this festive season,” said spokesperson Mpho More.
