Discovery Primary’s Talent Show

Discovery hosts talent show for pupils

Old Age Home residents in Discovery and surrounds were treated to an hour of fun and entertainment this morning. The senior citizens were invited to watch the dress rehearsal of Discovery Full Service Primary School’s upcoming Talent Show. Pupils from all grades sang, danced, recited poetry, played musical instruments and even had a stand-up comedy routine.

As this was the rehearsals before the show, the pupils were allowed to make mistakes as they got used to standing on stage and performing for a crowd which cheered and praised each item. Coordinators Melanie Victor, Yolandie Conradie and Eugene Oliver, with the help of Rocket AV Sound and Lighting, were on hand to help the pupils. The auditions for the talent show lasted four to five weeks and after seeing so much talent, the coordinators decided to include all those pupils who auditioned in the show.

“Some pupils who auditioned in dancing were added to the group dance item and that goes for the singing and playing instruments too. Since the auditions we’ve been working hard to ensure the children are ready for the show and will entertain everyone,” said Melanie.
