National Checklist Day

Make a checklist to remember #NationalChecklistDay

30 October is National Checklist Day – a day to remind you of the importance of self-made reminders.

Making a checklist is a powerful habit to embrace in the modern world, but, interestingly enough, it is said that this day comes from dark roots.

During the 1930s, aviators were searching for ways to make flying safer and avoid the all-too-common crash during takeoff. Through trial and error, and after experiencing some costly mishaps, a group of pilots came up with the idea of creating a checklist. This checklist would be used before taxiing the plane down the runway for takeoff. It is believed that the origins of Checklist Day can be traced back to this singular event.

To celebrate National Checklist Day appropriately – make a checklist. But remember, use a checklist to make absolutely sure that you never forget Checklist Day!
