National Colour Day

Be colourful on #NationalColourDay

22 October is National Colour Day – a day to learn how colours influence our daily lives, mood, behaviour and productivity.

It is hard to imagine a world without colour – a world with only black, white and shades of gray. Colour has been used to create feelings of cosiness and space for a very long time; however the affect of different colour stimuli on people varies from person to person.

Different colours are perceived to mean different things, like the following:

? Red – excitement, love and strength

? Yellow – competence and happiness

? Green – good taste, envy and relaxation

? Blue – corporate and high quality

? Pink – sophistication and sincerity

? Violet/ purple – authority and power

? Brown – ruggedness

? Black – grief and fear

? White – happiness and purity

To celebrate today wear some colour and use #NationalColourDay to post photos on social media.
