Video and Photos: Bloemfontein freak hail storm and your weather report

Judging by photographs of yesterday’s freak hail storm in Bloemfontein, one cannot be blamed for thinking it was knee-deep snow.

Traffic was interrupted and there were reports of vehicles being damaged but residents of this drought-stricken area still welcomed the rain.

At this stage there is no indication though that the same fate will befall Roodepoort in the next week. Thunderstorms have been predicted for today and Monday though.
