Vehicles drive over dead pedestrian and flee

The West Suburbs Roodepoort Neighbourhood Watch (WSRNW) has reported that a gruesome pedestrian accident took place last night.

At about 7.05pm a pedestrian, an old man with a walking stick, was struck by a VW Kombi at the intersection of Quellerie Street and Randfontein Road. The pedestrian, who died on the scene, was then run over by two more vehicles, a bakkie and a car, neither of which stopped. The exact detail surrounding the accident is unclear.

The incident will be the subject of a police investigation.
