National Evaluate Your Life Day

Use the opportunity to figure out where you are on your path on #NationalEvaluateYourLifeDay

19 October is National Evaluate Your Life Day. It gives you the opportunity to figure out whether you are still on the right path to achieve your life goals.

There comes a time in every life when we need to evaluate the progress we have made, whether we are still on the right path to achieve our life goals and to give a reckoning of all we have done so far. This evaluation is necessary to help us find out if we like where we are now, and if we don’t, to make changes to enable us to move forward with our goals. It could be that, while evaluating your life, you might find that you like where you are, that you are making the progress you want to and everything is moving along smoothly. Most likely, you will find that you are somewhere in-between.

Evaluate Your Life Day was created by the people at Wellcat.com to encourage people to ensure they know what is going on in their lives and to have an opportunity to set things on the proper course. It is important to check the course you are on because we all get a little lost during our life’s journey. Without a regular check-in, how would you know where you are and how to plan for your future?

The celebration of this day could be a difficult and hard experience – but re-evaluating your life should be. The evaluation can start with a solid accounting of your life by breaking it down into various parts – social, educational and financial. Each piece needs to be broken down into its components to find out exactly where you are on your path. Once broken down, you can start cross-referencing the relationships between them and see if you have arrived on your chosen path.

If you are less organised, you can start to re-evaluate your life by getting away from it all – maybe visit a retreat, and be guided through a self-realisation journey to get an honest accounting of your life. It is a great way to professionally get your life back on track – if you can afford it.

But, if you do not have the financial means, don’t despair! You don’t have to be a big spender to get a solid hold on your life. You can take a country trip or go out into the woods and have a conversation with yourself whilst enjoying nature. Sometimes, all it takes is quiet, a crackling fire and the stars overhead to really understand your place in the world.
