Video: Roodepoort Police officer abuses resident who wants to report hijacking

A video has surfaced of an incident that took place inside Roodepoort Police Station in the early hours of 5 September.
According to the person who took the video on the sly, a man was at the charge desk trying to report a hijacking. Although not all the words being exchanged are audible, the officer is shouting at him in a tone of voice unbecoming of a civil servant.
The man who took the video was also at the station to report a hijacking and said the officer treated him in exactly the same way. “He told the guy in front of me he did not care, it’s not his car,” said the man who took the footage.
The video was passed on the police’s cluster spokesperson for investigation and comment.
