The character of the Mad Hatter has stuck through all these years and is know as the quirkiest and most insane character of all times. So much so that the world celebrates National Mad Hatter Day on 6 October, a day set aside every year to bring out your silly side.
The Mad Hatter is a fictional character in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and typically acts silly. That is why the creators of National Mad Hatter Day, a group of technicians from Boulder, Colorado decided on a theme of silliness for this day.
They chose 6 October because of the slip in the Mad Hatter’s top hat that says, “In This Style 10/6”, which is believed to be the order to make the hat and its price.
