Update: Identity of 22-year-old who shot father revealed
Will plead innocent.
After pleading not guilty, the identity of the 22-year-old who allegedly shot and killed his father on the afternoon of 17 September can be revealed as that of AJ Lubbe.

Lubbe allegedly shot seven rounds of which four hit his father, Andries, fatally wounding him. The incident took place in Equestrian Road in Poortview. AJ, who owns a company that provides security services (bouncers) to, among other establisments, Hooters on Doreen Road, said in his bail application that he is the sole breadwinner, having to take care of his wife and two children.
Thus far the family has remained tight-lipped as to what took place on the fateful afternoon.
AJ will appear in the Roodepoort Magistrates Court again on 24 October.
