Storm warning premature but …

Weekend might see some action.

Rumours have been doing the rounds on social media that “extreme lightning storms” will hit Roodepoort today.

But according to weather expert Kobus Botha (https://www.weatherphotos.co.za/) the real action will only be this weekend. Between 2pm and 2am today the greater Johannesburg area can expect about 2,4mm of rain. On Friday and Saturday though rain and lightning can be expected, with 7,5mm of rain predicted for Saturday and 17,5mm for Sunday.

Tomorrow’s predicted temperatures are a minimum of 9° and a maximum of 26° with cloud cover and an expected rainfall of 0,9mm.
