Power outage leaves residents in the dark
Technicians are on site working to restore power
Residents of the Kloofendal area have been without electricity since 4.30pm yesterday afternoon (22 September).
Areas affected by this outage include Helderkruin, Roodekrans, Constantia Kloof, Weltevreden Park, Wilro Park and surrounding areas.
According to City Power‘s Twitter account the power outage is the result of a faulty transformer in Kloofendal.

It is the only transformer at the substation taking load because of the substation upgrades, and oil is leaking from it.
City Power technicians are on site, working hard to restore the power. A new transformer is on its way and the estimated time for power to be restored is 24 hours. The faulty transformer is being removed from the site.
