The Have a Heart Care Centre for the underprivileged elderly is planning to host a Golf Day in November, too raise funds for a mini-bus to transport the elderly to hospital for their medical check-ups.
The centre is a non-profit organisation, and registered with the Department of Social Development (DSD) earlier this year. It offers accommodation to those receiving a monthly old-age grant as well as three meals a day.
The centre is sending out a plea to all golfers who have a heart to participate in the fundraising effort. Companies are also invited to sponsor a hole and advertise their products on the day. Many prizes can be won on the four-ball golf day .
