Sixteen people were injured, four of them critically and six seriously, when a taxi and a Range Rover collided head-on on Albertina Sisulu Road this past Saturday 3 September.
Shortly after 22.30pm paramedics from ER24 found the two severely damaged vehicles. Four people were trapped in the taxi and had to be rescued with the Jaws of Life. All were in a critical condition. Six others, including the driver of the Range Rover, sustained moderate to serious injuries.
The injured were rushed to Leratong and Helen Joseph Hospitals respectively.
The exact cause for the collision is not yet known.
