City of Johannesburg is keeping the lights on

Help is at hand for electricity-related matters

Battling to get assistance with your electricity-related query after it has been logged? Tired of not receiving a satisfactory answer on the status of your query?

Don’t despair – CityPower has an answer.

In an effort to improve service delivery and transparency, Area Managers have been appointed by CityPower to manage the maintenance of the CityPower network in your area.

These managers are highly-skilled professionals. They have been mandated to interact with you on all electricity-related matters, from power outages to fault logging.

Once you have logged your query, either through the call centre (0860 562 874) or on the website , you will receive a reference number. You need to allow for sufficient turn-around time for your query to be resolved before contacting an Area Manager. If you do not receive any response or are dissatisfied with the outcome, you should escalate your matter to the Area Manager in your region.

The contact persons for the Roodepoort area are as follows:

– Noel Maso is the General Manager for the North. His contact details are: 071 861 9242 (cellphone), 011 490 7593 (office) or nmaso@citypower.co.za.

– George Makama is the Area Manager for Roodepoort. His contact details are: 079 494 4775 (cellphone), 011 490 3630 (office) or gmakama@citypower.co.za.

CityPower is confident the quality of interaction with the entity will be enhanced by the involvement of the City’s Area Managers. This will reduce turnaround times and performance gaps will be addressed.
