Sotheby’s Realty CEO arrested in Randburg
KENSINGTON B –Rohde will be detained at Randburg Police Station until further notice.
Sotheby’s International Realty CEO Jason Rohde has been arrested in Randburg.
Gauteng Provincial Police spokesperson Colonel Lungelo Dlamini confirmed that Rohde was arrested by Stellenbosch police today (23 August) at 6.30am.
He explained that the Police had information that he was hiding out in the Randburg area.
Dlamini said, “He is currently being detained at the Randburg Police station.”
Rodhe is being held in connection with the death of his wife Susan Rohde was found with a cord around her neck at Spier Wine Estate in Stellenbosch two weeks ago.
Attempts were made to contact Rohde’s lawyer, Daniel Witz. Randburg Sun was told he was in court at the time.
According to a State Prosecutor, the case will not be handled at Randburg Magistrate’s Court at this time.
