Moth chooses new executive

The order seek to promote interests of former service men and women.

The Chilly Trench Memorable Order of Tin Hats, or Moth, recently appointed a new executive committee.

The order, which aims to protect and advance the interests of former servicemen and -women, and to maintain the living spirit of front-line comradeship, was founded in 1927 by Charles Alfred Evenden. It operates independently of race, religion or politics.

The new executive consists of Sergeant Major Piet Combrinck, Old Bill Kallie Calitz, Wee Bill Leon du Plessis, scribe Natasha Calitz and Pay Bill Ben Strydom.
