Traffic in and around Nywerheid Street was disrupted during peak hour this morning, when a truck transporting pallets got stuck underneath the railway bridge.
The truck was travelling towards Sonop Street when the incident happened. According to the driver the bridge “had no height restriction”. The solution the driver and his assistants came up with to free the truck and its load was to deflate the truck’s tyres in the hope that it would create enough space to move it.
When the Record visited the scene at about 8.30am the truck was still stuck.
