Hoërskool Die Adelaar’s Nandisa Kaba and Brian Sefora recently participated in this year’s Segorona Eisteddfod Festival, where they both did extremely well.
The competition was held in the Bram Fischer Hall, with all the high schools within the D12 district competing for the title of the best in each category.
Nandisa excelled in the categories she participated in, walking away with awards in arts, poetry, public speaking, choir, drama and vocal group. Brian participated in the comedian with drama category and had the audience in stitches with his performances.
“It started when I was in primary school – I would tell my friends some jokes and they would laugh.
It was then that I knew I had a bit of talent. I want to make people happy with my jokes and being a stand-up comedian is something I see myself pursuing after studying,” said Brian.
