Residents of Ruimsig should make alternate plans to obtain water as this area will have no water today (15 August).
According to external communications officer for Johannesburg Water, Eleanor Mavimbela, there is a burst pipe on Peter and Van Dalen roads as a valve was vandalized. “A team is on site and is closing the 600mm main trunk in Ruimsig to repair the valve and the burst.”
She added that all the streets in the area will be affected. “We estimate that repairs will be completed by 6pm this evening,” concluded Mavimbela.
