One woman died and another sustained moderate injuries after two vehicles collided on Christiaan de Wet Road near Clearwater Mall on Friday night at about 9.20pm.
The exact cause of the accident remains a subject for police investigation and comment.
When Netcare 911 paramedics arrived on scene, they found that the driver of one vehicle, who was trapped in her vehicle, had already died. The woman was declared dead on scene by a Netcare 911 paramedic.
The other driver, also a woman, sustained moderate injuries. She was treated by another emergency service and transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
