Updated election results as of this hour:

City of Johannesburg: DA 44 per cent, ANC 40 per cent and EFF nine per cent.

Roodepoort wards:

Ward 70 – DA 78 per cent, ANC 14 per cent and EFF three per cent

Ward 71 – DA 56 per cent, ANC 28 per cent and EFF 10 per cent

Ward 82 – DA 55 per cent, ANC 31 per cent and EFF five per cent

Ward 84 – DA 79 per cent, ANC 12 per cent and EFF four per cent

Ward 85 – DA 86 per cent, ANC seven per cent and FF+ two per cent

Wards 83, 127 and 128 not counted yet.

National results:

Buffalo City, Eastern Cape: ANC 51 per cent, DA 35 per cent and EFF six per cent.

City of Cape Town: DA 69 per cent, ANC 21 per cent and EFF three per cent.

Ekhurhuleni Municipality: ANC 43 per cent, DA 42 per cent and EFF eight per cent.

Manguang, Bloemfontein: ANC 50 per cent, DA 29 per cent and EFF seven per cent.

Nelson Mandela Bay local municipality: DA 51 per cent, ANC 36 per cent and EFF four per cent.

City of Tshwane: DA 45 per cent, ANC 41 per cent and the EFF nine per cent.
