The origin of Lasagna is debated with varying theories, one being that the word “lasagna” refers to dish or pot is was cooked in and not necessarily to the food itself.

The famous cartoon character Garfield, loves lasagna and eats it everyday. Lasagna was also featured in a 14th century cookbook.
